a Sailor's life off duty.

(I'm a little late to the GIF party.)

Active duty U.S. Navy. Sailor. Veteran. Patriot. Runner. Soul searcher. Explorer. Foodie. Project Life junkie. Cookie monster. Non-recovering sugar and caffeine addict. INFP. San Diegan transplant from L.A. Husband is Scott who is a Sailor too. Photography is obviously only a hobby to me and so is blogging. But I do love both equally.

In 2010, I was going through some really tough times, and I realized that I had not written anything for years. My experiences in the Navy had allowed me to see the world and do some pretty unique things, but at least a decade of my life as I knew it was missing in photos and words. This is my attempt to retrace those memories and document my life from here on out.

Though I am in the Navy, the thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.

In case you are wondering what the Navy does, here is a small, not all-inclusive list: it defends freedom and democracy, deters aggression, provides worldwide humanitarian aid and relief to those in need, and protects invaluable waterways that allow trade and commerce to flow freely.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be here and share my story.

If you would like to contact me, my email is below. This is currently a non-profit blog, and I do not do any product reviews or business affiliations. I will soon be deployed and unavailable for long periods of time, so I may not answer questions, comments, or emails right away.

Here are other things I've chosen to reveal about myself:
