(Just because my anal-retentive-self has to have a photo of some sort)
While on my unplanned blogging hiatus, I realized that, right now, I'd rather not be blogging so much and that there are other important things going on in the world that are demanding my attention. Even though I LOVE blogging-writing, my life as a Sailor will always trump any other priority I might have. The truth is, that this space didn't take up that much of my time to begin with, especially after I stopped doing the linkups, the multiple sponsorships, the guest posts, and commenting on so many other blogs. Minimizing my imprint on the blogosphere has brought me more peace of mind and satisfaction than ever, and I have been able to focus on what I want to write, when I want to write, and the message, if any, that I want to share with others. It has also allowed me to see who actually visits this place frequently and who I've made connections with. And while I have to say that I don't actually have the time to create and nurture new real-life friendships, I'd rather people visit my blog, not because I commented on their blog, but because they would have come here anyway.
But what I really came here to say was...September, I'm glad you're here even though summer is officially over. I can't wait for California's version of fall and everything that comes along with it!
