This year I:
-arrived at a new command that I love
-gained more experience in counseling
-started working on my degree again
-strengthened my friendship with Kristen
-became good friends with Steph of The Loudmouth Lifestyle, the first blogger I ever followed
-started a wonderful pen-friendship with Sandra
-got a used dslr as a surprise gift from the DH
-started documenting my past
-started scrap journaling
-adopted the sweetest pit bull mix puppy Stella
-finished the L.A. marathon
-ran 3 Rock n Roll half marathons
-found some new trails
-started thrifting again
-held my first garage sale
-found an inexpensive hairdresser who convinced me to get my first Brazilian blowout
-convinced my two bffs from L.A. to drive to San Diego for the 1st time to visit me
-bought a scale and currently not using it
-was able to donate blood for the first time
-became obsessed with this monster green smoothie
-took my cupcake obsession to a whole new level
-realized that separating my private self and my Navy self on my blog wasn't really working
-discovered various elements to my personal style
-traded reading books mostly for reading blogs
-got some free stuff that I love just by blogging
-realized that I really need alone time
-surpassed my savings goals
-slipped up and used one of my credit cards again- Oops!
-put my red skinny jeans on and noticed they were tighter
-saw freckles and melasma spots on my face
-did more writing and reflecting than I did running
-realized that getting mad about dishes and messiness in the house isn't worth arguing over
-realized that I'm not going to change the DH's shoe-pile-in-the-corner habit any time soon
-proved that I was right about trying to tell the DH about my annoying habits before we started dating
-learned that despite loving each other, marriage can be hard work
-learned that despite loving each other, marriage can be hard work
-missed my dogs every time I was away from them
-learned that I am becoming like my mom in some ways
-fell in love with the DH at least twice
-had a very memorable holiday season spent with all my friends and family

I think that it's been a wonderful year! And I've had a great time following along.
ReplyDeleteOkay, first off -- I want to get photobooth pictures with you. That's gonna be on my bucket list of activities for us, along with getting a pineapple thing at Disney (though I did manage to get one this last time, but I want to drink one with you as well because you'll understand the importance of it).

Going to Disneyland during the holidays is actually something I wanted to do again! I do need to try that pineapple drink!
