Today was rather "blah", and I spent half of the morning in class daydreaming whilst attempting to listen to rules and procedures. It's been difficult to stay focused especially when I imagine that I'm running on the road with the sun on my face or baking cupcakes. Not surprisingly, I've added 'baking' to my weekly list of things to do from now on. Apparently, I need a list to remind me to do the things I truly enjoy doing, as well as things that I just have to do.
On to what I wore today.....I 'retweeted' about the skirt I am wearing 2 months ago when I first saw it on Lulu's. I knew that it had to be mine! Luckily, they still had 2 available a few weeks ago, and I was able to grab one. Oh, how it makes me feel like I should be chewing bubble gum, drinking soda pop, and eating an ice cream cone! The pattern of white polka dots against a bright cherry red also makes me feel so vibrant and cheerful and makes me wish I was living in the 1940's or 1950's. I so admire the way the women dressed back then. So classy and pin-up girlish. -Love!

I actually happen to already be following you, which is kind of funny because I don't do follow for follow unless I really like the blog. You don't need to follow my blog if you don't like it. I actually would prefer that someone only follow if they genuinely liked my blog and what I had to say. Other than that, keep up the good work! People will follow you if you produce content and are genuine. That's all I have to say about that!

i do love this skirt! and all of the yellow details are just wonderful - and i love how your hair is done. it looks really good in that bun like that. and i love silhouettes and prints from the 50s/60s too - the styles fit my body better and i feel so confident. i can see you love it too - you look so great and happy in these photos!
ReplyDeleteLulu's has so many pretty items. I like that you threw in some brown in it. The belt, shoes & clutch!! Nice touch :D
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love Lulu's because they are inspired by vintage pieces, and it's often hard for me to find something that fits me in a thrift store.....I think the people were tinier back then....
DeleteWhat a cool skirt! I love polka dots, they're always so cheery!! Great look!
